Of course there is no upper limit and you can also eat cheaper than we do 🙂

For example, I’m adding photos of the menu and interior of one of our favorite restaurants in Ubud. Photos of the meal are above (the soup and sate pitu).

And here’s a photo of delicious sushi for 5 PLN that we ate on the beach in Lovina, where a local festival was taking place at the time. The man was grilling fresh crab meat right in front of us. One of the best we have ever eaten. The photo is a bit blurry because our mouths were already watering 😀

Massage prices
And here, of course, everyone charges as much as they can... There is no upper limit and there is no single standard price. I can recommend one great place in the very center of Ubud where the ladies give such amazing massages that we have to say it was one of the TOP massages we’ve had in Asia. I’m adding a photo of the price list, because for the city center the prices were really attractive. From 14 PLN for half an hour.
I recommend the foot massage, and Mati recommends the neck, back and shoulder massage. They truly work like magicians there 🥰

Eating out - example from Ubud
Eating out is usually a bit cheaper. In quite nice restaurants you will pay from 8 to 18 PLN for a large meal per person + a small beer about 7 - 8 PLN, and in warungs (traditional local eateries often in the form of a stall or a small booth) you can easily eat for just a few PLN. A meal in such a warung can cost around 4 - 6 PLN.
A glass of wine costs about 18/20 PLN, cocktails are also around 20 PLN (just make sure to ask if they are made with arak - I do not recommend it 😅), a shot of tequila about 7/8 PLN - that one I do recommend - good for the stomach from time to time.
Fresh juices/shakes or fancy healthy juices cost from 20000 - 45000 IDR (5 - 12 PLN). It all depends on the fruit and how many ingredients are used 🙂
Coffee in a cafe costs about 4/5 PLN for an espresso, 5 - 7 PLN for a cappuccino/latte and Kopi Bali can be as cheap as 3 PLN.
The breakfast, which was so big (and delicious!) that I couldn’t finish it, cost 17 PLN (two large wraps with bacon, cheese, scrambled eggs and corn salsa, plus coffee for 9 PLN). So for a full Instagram-style breakfast at Paperhills with a volcano view, we paid about 50 PLN for two people.
Local food is always cheaper, and of course there is no upper limit - it all depends on which restaurant you choose 🙂
But don’t worry, even in an Instagram-style restaurant with a volcano view, where we went for sunrise, we didn’t spend much.
